At the mouth
of the Limski kanal you will find Vrsar, a small hilltop
village with a picturesque campanile- topped summit. It is a
beautifully preserved, tranquil place where you can get lost
exploring. The former fishing village Vrsar (2,700
inhabitants) developed to an important holiday center. The
long routistic tradition reaches up to the summer residences
of the Porečer bishops. A characteristic is the division in
two parts of the city in the bank promenade and the hilly
old part of town on the other side. The life seems to take
place only at the bank range, while the old part of town
makes an impression as before 50 years. Mind you there are
some very beautifully reconditioned old part of town little
houses also there.
Vrsar is directly because of the distance Pula - to Poreč
and is good with the car to reach.
There are good bus connections after Poreč, Pula and
Rovinj. In of the city should one to the numerous and close
one-way streets adjust itself.
There is a large parking lot (liable to pay the costs in the
season) with the gas station at the port.
